Univar Solutions announces partnership with Dow for the distribution of agricultural silicone defoamers in Mexico
“At Univar Solutions, we pride ourselves on building productive and lasting relationships with leading suppliers. The partnership with a premier organization like Dow demonstrates how we continually and strategically collaborate to bring innovation to the Mexican agricultural market, ultimately supporting Mexican producers, ”said Jorge Buckup, President, Latin America, for Univar Solutions. “With this agreement, we are well positioned to provide our customers with new solutions and efficiencies to improve their harvesting operations.”
For the agriculture and crop protection industries, excessive foaming can overflow process vessels, interfere with packaging and damage materials or equipment and potentially affect production capacity, efficiency and increase time. As a result, higher maintenance costs and larger, more expensive equipment may sometimes be required to handle excess foam. Dow’s DOWSIL ™ and XIAMETER ™ Silicone Foam Controllers have low surface tension for effective foam control in a variety of foaming media and act as both an antifoam and defoamer, providing effective and efficient solutions for agrochemical customers facing these challenges.
Patricia augusto, Latin America Marketing Director at Dow, added, “We are delighted to extend our successful partnership with Univar Solutions into Mexico. As we identify agrochemical customers who could benefit from advanced defoamers, together we can deliver our unique technologies and solutions and help deliver greater value through improved product efficiency and performance. “
Defoamers and defoamers for crop protection are available from Univar Solutions as fluids, compounds, emulsions and powders and can be used in both aqueous and non-aqueous agrochemical systems. Learn more on Univar Solutions’ full silicone portfolio, made possible by its relationship with Dow.
